God will pour out His Spirit on ALL FLESH. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Not only Moses.
Not only the current high priest.
Not only designated prophets.
Not only Israelites, or Jews, or converts to Judaism.
Male AND female.
Young and old.
Slaves and free.
Outcome: Everyone can and should prophesy, see visions, and dream dreams like Peter.

Then there will be more drama in the heavens and on the earth.

Revelation Lesson 6 Day 5 Laodicea 2

No amount of earthly wealth comes close to the joy of the Lord that overwhelms me.

” For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding
or a bride with her jewels.”

Jesus is 100% faithful. He doesn’t change in His love and desire to be in a relationship with us. He means what He says. His behavior backs it up. Jesus is the source and giver of our life. God created us for a relationship with Him. He is the source and giver of our born-again spirit. He is the source of our 100% forgiveness. He is the source of 100% of our righteousness.

To Philadelphia ~ Keep on holding onto the Word of God and the Name of God just as you have been doing. God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Philadelphia (modern Alashehir, Turkey) twenty-eight miles southeast of Sardis was a commercial center located on elevated ground overlooking the fertile plain of the Hermus (Gediz) River. In 189 b.c. the king of Pergamum, Attalus Philadelphus, established Philadelphia and named the city to honor his brother.

Jesus knows their limited strength. He commends them because they have kept His word and have not denied His name.

We can’t have a relationship with the Lord if we reject His Word. Jesus is the Word. John 1:1-14 AWMI

He was obviously pleased with their good heart and pure motives.

To the church at Sardis– Jesus holds leaders accountable for allowing the strongholds of wrong teaching, wrong motives, and focus on the wrong things. He is jealous for the pure affections of His bride.

The Holy Spirit teaches us and counsels us in God’s ways if we maintain an attentive spiritual ear.

Revelation Lesson 5 Day 3

The false prophetess in Revelation is referred to as Jezebel likely to describe her similar character and influence. She taught and seduced (caused to wander). The word translated as seduced “never means mere error as such, but fundamental departure from the truth.”

This situation sounds similar to the Nicolaitans mentioned in the warnings to other churches. It appears this heresy was a widespread problem among the Asian assemblies and perhaps other areas also. It needed to be dealt with quickly and decisively. God wanted the congregations to deal with it themselves.

Revelation Lesson 4 Day 4

Material wealth is not the only type of riches.

Matthew 5:3 Those who are devoid of spiritual arrogance are blessed, spiritually prosperous, happy, and to be admired. The kingdom of heaven is their reward.

Matthew 6:19-20 Store your treasure in heaven where treasure is safe. It can’t be stolen, eaten by insects or vermin, or ruined by decay.

2 Corinthians 8:9 Jesus gave up the riches of heaven to come to earth and show us extravagant kindness and generous grace.

The church in Smyrna still exists today.

Revelation Lesson 4 Day 5

Suffering church in Smyrna was spiritually rich. Jesus and His disciples were persecuted. Jesus said don’t be afraid. He didn’t promise to deliver us, but He does give us the strength. Paul is the poster child for persecution and suffering.
Five times he received 39 lashes from the Jews.
Three times he was beaten with rods by the Romans.
