3. Abraham believed God and trusted in His promises.

Because Abraham believed God, He did not hesitate but obeyed God when He said, “Get up and go! Leave your country. Leave your relatives and your father’s home, and travel to the land I will show you. Don’t worry—I will guide you there.” (Genesis 12:1 Voice)
Out of honor and respect, Abraham built an altar in Shechem where God engaged with him. (Genesis 12:6)
Abraham built another altar to God when he moved to Hebron. (Genesis 13:18)
When God promised Abraham a son, “Abram bowed low, his face and body flat on the ground.” (Genesis 17:3 Voice)
God entered into a blood covenant (of circumcision) with Abraham. (Genesis 17:10-11)
Abraham immediately circumcised Ishmael and all of his male servants. (Genesis 17:23)

4. “Do your wages come as a gift or as compensation for your work?” (From Romans 4:4 Voice)

When you work a job, you are only paid what you have earned.
It’s not a gift because your employer agreed to pay you in exchange for your time and effort.

5. a. God’s gift is righteousness.

God paid His Son for me so that by trusting in Jesus’ sacrifice, I am made right with Him.
“. . . the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b AMP)
“. . . if you see that the job is too big for you, that it’s something only God can do, and you trust him to do it—you could never do it for yourself no matter how hard and long you worked—well, that trusting-him-to-do-it is what gets you set right with God, by God. Sheer gift.” (Romans 4:5 MSG) emphasis added

“For the wages which sin pays is death.” (Romans 6:23a AMPC)

b. The Lord is the love of my life.

I admit how broken I am in body and spirit,
but God is my strength, and He will be mine forever.
But the closer I am to You, my God, the better because life with You is good.
O Lord, the Eternal, You keep me safe—
I will tell everyone what You have done. (Psalm 73:26, 28 Voice)
