6. Paul praises God based on Isaiah’s words.

God’s ways and God’s wisdom

“I don’t think the way you think.
The way you work isn’t the way I work.”
        God’s Decree.
“For as the sky soars high above earth,
so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
and the way I think is beyond the way you think. (Isaiah 55:8-9 MSG)

Even if we know God’s plan, we are incapable of carrying them out. We can’t free ourselves or others from sin.

All the praise and all the glory goes to Him because the plan comes from Him and He brings it to pass.

7. God’s wisdom and understanding.

1 Kings 8:39 God knows our hearts. He knows each of our lives from the inside.

Job 9:4 God is wise in heart and mighty in strength.

Job 28:12-28 God alone knows the way to Wisdom, he knows the exact place to find it. He knows where everything is on earth, he sees everything under heaven. (MSG)”  “And he (God) said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding. (ESV)’”

Psalm 147:4He counts all the stars within His hands, carefully fixing their number
    and giving them names.” (Voice)

Proverbs 3:19 Creation is the result of God’s wisdom and understanding.

  • God understands me and everyone else.
  • He knows the exact number and location of every entity and resource throughout the multiverse.
  • The Lord has a unique solution for every challenge I will ever face.

8. Education

I’m one of those people who always had too many interests to pick just one.

Because my mom died the year I graduated from high school, things were too rocky emotionally and financially to think about college.

Several years later, I decided to take evening classes at the community college, mainly because I’d started painting and needed help with technique and design.

With two growing boys and other activities, I stopped for a long while.

Then, the church we attended offered several accredited Bible college courses. So I took some.

When the boys were grown, I heard about a college program for adult students with college credits. If you had enough, they promised you could get a degree in 18 months.

I wanted a degree, even if it looked like it was “too late” to make a difference.

It wasn’t easy, but I eventually graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Here’s where God’s wisdom really kicked in.

Instead of testing us on the material, most of the classes required us to write research papers and make presentations to the class.

If I wasn’t REALLY motivated to get a degree, there’s no way I would have stuck with something that required me to get up in front of people and make presentations. God sort of tricked me into it.

The online research was grueling. But I learned, and I overcame my fear of public speaking.

Blogs were the new thing, and one day the Lord said, “Write.”

A few years later He said, “Attend the Bible study your sister-in-law told you about.”

I started BSF in April, only a few weeks before the summer break.

That summer, the Lord said, “post your answers on the blog.”

Almost six years later, I’m still at it.

My education and the development of the resources and technology took years.

Without those seemingly random steps, this blog would not exist.

I have a feeling this story isn’t over yet.
