David inspires me to pour it all out before the Lord and put my complete trust in him.

7. The wicked and the afflicted

The wicked

  • Arrogant and proud
  • Greedy for gain
  • Take advantage of the poor and helpless
  • With their tongues, they curse, threaten and lie.
  • They renounce God.

The afflicted

God is on the side of the victims. He is the champion of the homeless, the orphans, and the poor.

8. David runs to God for refuge.

David places his hope in God to triumph over the wicked and their evil schemes.

God is my refuge, my hope, and my strength.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
    the righteous man runs into it and is safe. Proverbs 18:10 ESV
